Terms of Sale
How ordering works, what you are agreeing to, and what a printed part will and will not be.
Last updated 3 September 2026
The short version. Nothing is charged through this website. You send an order, we contact you to confirm it and arrange payment, and only then do we print. Everything is made to order. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply no matter what this page says.
Who you are buying from
CubyCrafts (ABN 64 327 637 725), Perth, Western Australia. These terms apply to everything ordered through this website and to custom work quoted through it.
Prices
- All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
- Postage is shown separately at checkout and added to your total.
- We can change prices at any time, but never after we have confirmed your order.
- If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price, we will contact you before doing anything rather than either charging it or quietly cancelling. You are free to walk away at that point.
How an order becomes an order
Sending the checkout form is an offer to buy, not a completed purchase. We will be in touch — usually by phone or email, within one business day — to confirm the details, the final total including postage, and how you would like to pay. The agreement is formed when we confirm, and that is also when we start printing.
We may decline an order: if the item is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your address, if the pricing was wrong, or if we cannot reach you to confirm. If you have somehow already paid, you get all of it back.
Payment
No payment is taken online and we never ask for card details. We will arrange payment with you directly — bank transfer, PayID, or paying when you collect from our Perth, Western Australia workshop. Printing starts once payment is arranged.
Made to order
Almost nothing here sits on a shelf. Each item is printed once you order it, which is what makes the colour and material choices possible, and what makes the lead times what they are:
- Small pieces usually ship within 48 hours.
- Larger or multi-part jobs run 3–5 business days.
- Custom work depends on the job, and we will tell you honestly before you approve the quote whether a deadline is achievable.
These are the times we aim for and hit most of the time. They are not guarantees, and they start from when the order is confirmed rather than from when you submit it.
What a 3D printed part is
This is worth being straight about, because it is where expectations go wrong. Printed parts are built up in layers, and that shows:
- Layer lines are normal and visible on most surfaces. They are a feature of the process, not a defect.
- Colours vary slightly between filament batches, and screens render colour differently anyway. Treat a product photo as a close guide, not a colour match.
- Dimensions carry a tolerance of roughly ±0.5 mm on most parts. If your part has to fit something precisely, tell us before we print and we will work to it.
- Materials have limits. PLA softens in a hot car; TPU flexes by design; nothing here is food-safe, structural, or rated for load-bearing use unless we have specifically told you so in writing.
Custom work and quotes
Nothing is printed on a custom job until you approve the quote. The quote is itemised — material, print time and postage, separately — and holds for 30 days.
When you send us a model or a design, you keep every right you have in it. We use it to print your job and for nothing else. You are confirming that you are entitled to have it printed: we will not knowingly reproduce someone else's copyrighted or trademarked design, and we may decline a job on that basis.
Cancelling
Ask any time before we start printing and we will cancel, in full and without argument. Once a made-to-order item is on the plate we generally cannot, because it cannot be sold to anyone else — but ask anyway, because it depends on how far in we are.
Your rights that this page cannot touch
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing on this page limits those rights. Where we are able to limit our liability, we limit it to replacing the item, supplying it again, or refunding what you paid.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
